We at Open Pantry have always been aware of the customer experience. We designed our stores with large seating areas, fireplaces, and oversized leather chairs. We aim to make every visit to Open Pantry as enjoyable as possible.


Our restrooms are modern and inviting, equipped with all the conveniences. However, maintaining their cleanliness has been a concern and a challenge. A couple of years ago, I met the leadership of Washie toilet seats. I was apprehensive at first. Would this be another gimmick? Would customers take the time to understand the process?


After a fair amount of conversation with the Washie folks, I agreed to bring one Washie toilet set in for a test. The customer response was immediate; they loved it and thanked us for acknowledging their health concerns. We promptly installed the Washie toilet seat in all of our stores.


The response, especially from our female customers, has been fantastic. It’s now a topic of conversation.
